Why it exists

Ten islands deserved better than a brochure

Cape Verde Atlas grew from a simple observation: one of the most interesting countries in the Atlantic was being summarised online as a beach. This site tries to do the opposite, covering the islands one by one, the history honestly, the culture respectfully and the travel practicalities precisely.

Facts are checked against official sources: the national consular portal for entry rules, UNESCO listings for heritage, census figures for population. Where things change, notably visa policy, we date our claims so you can judge their freshness.

How we write

We write for readers of every background and keep the content family-friendly throughout. We prefer plain words to travel cliches, name our sources, and treat Cabo Verde as a country first and a destination second.
